22 Days Without My iPhone

So i wanted to upgrade my iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4 the first step in doing so is coming up with the funds to purchase the new iPhone 4 which lets face it isn’t cheep but I’m a strong believer in you get what you pay for so i set out to sell my 3GS.
i placed an ad on a local classifieds website and posted my 3gs for sale at the bargain price of $340 it sold in an hour (awesome) so i logged on to apples website and placed an order for the iPhone 4 which had a three week waiting period so now I’m left playing the waiting game.
In the meantime i started to notice just how much i used and relied on my iPhone so i decided to take note of my time spent apart from the iPhone.
Went to take a nice relaxing shower and listen to some mellow tunes but as i reach for my iPhone which is what i usually use to play my music i realize its not there I’m left to shower in silence.
Went to the gym to train and I normally use the round timer app and listen to my music while I do so but not today alas no iPhone
One word Facebook I used my iPhone for most if not all my social networking
I think I’ll wash the car today I wonder if it going to rain anytime soon I’ll just check the weekly forecast on my iPhone…. oh ya I’m still waiting on the delivery
Not able to check the latest news headlines while waiting on my daughters in the Mall oh how I miss my iPhone
I like to update my Blogs on the go but no I’m still waiting for my iPhone
Bills I keep track and pay all my bills on my iPhone with the help of a couple
great apps pageonce Bills and Bill Tracker but not today still waiting
I could go on and on about how
much I use and rely on my iPhone but I think you get the point

Another feature worth mentioning is Folders which allows you to put up to twelve Apps in a Folder for better organization it also allows you to install a lot more Apps.

Today Apple announced it’s latest invention the iPad. Don’t get me wrong it looks like a really cool device but it’s basically I big iPod Touch. When I think of an Apple tablet I think of a device that would give me Mac OSX with touch screen access and a great form factor. Unfortunately Apple didn’t deliver instead we get an iPod with 3G access and a 9 inch screen.

Geohot just released a new tool called blackra1n which will jailbreak all 3.1.2 devices. Its only available for windows users right now and its pretty simple to use in fact it the easiest jailbreak Ive ever done.
Instructions:
Update/Restore to 3.1.2 in iTunes
Launch blackra1n and press make it rain
That’s it your iPhone is now free. This will not hacktivate or unlock you iPhone so if you not with At&t you’ll want to hold off on jailbreaking using blackra1n for now. I had no issues what so ever jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS on my MacBook running vista it took about one minute and so far all is good so click the link blackra1n and enjoy your new found freedom
MMS On The iPhone
By · CommentsHere is a quick and easy little hack to activate MMS on your iPhone right now. First you must have a Jailbroken iPhone with Cydia installed. Go to the Tweaks section and install enable APN settings and restart your phone. Once restarted go to settings general cellular data network and change your MMS settings to the ones in the picture and you should be sending MMS without any problems

Apple announced the new iPod nano 5G at there’Its only rock and roll’ event yesterday.
The new iPod nano is pretty much the same except for a bigger screen (2.2 inch) new coating ( polished anodized aluminum) and the addition of a camera on the back which is capable of recording video and a microphone to capture audio.
Whats new on the inside is the addition of an FM radio Tuner which has live pause and itunes tagging. VoiceOver an app that speaks the names of songs and artists to allow you to navigate through your music without having to look at the screen. Pedometer and Nike iPod most of you are familiar with this app it makes a great workout partner by counting your steps as you run and tracking your distance while listening to your music library.
All and all there are a lot of great new features packaged into the nicely sized iPod nano so if your looking for a good music player slash all in one device the iPod nano 5G is your answer.
