Geohot just released a new tool called blackra1n which will jailbreak all 3.1.2 devices. Its only available for windows users right now and its pretty simple to use in fact it the easiest jailbreak Ive ever done.
Instructions:
Update/Restore to 3.1.2 in iTunes
Launch blackra1n and press make it rain
That’s it your iPhone is now free. This will not hacktivate or unlock you iPhone so if you not with At&t you’ll want to hold off on jailbreaking using blackra1n for now. I had no issues what so ever jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS on my MacBook running vista it took about one minute and so far all is good so click the link blackra1n and enjoy your new found freedom
